Don
has a B.A. In Mathematics, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Multnomah
School of the Bible, and an Ed. D. in Christian
Education from Trinity
Evangelical Divinity School. He has taught school in Malaysia,
Indonesia, U.S.A. and Mexico. Don and
his wife were in Indonesia
for 14 years where they taught at Institut Injil Indonesia and Institut
Theologia Althea.
Don has written three books in Indonesian including Pra Hermeneutik, which was the basis for Interpreting the Bible. After Interpreting the Bible was published in the Philippines, Don wrote a simplified version which uses only inductive methods. This book is called Sharpening Your Bible Reading Skills.
The powerpoints in the English and Chinese sections are for this last book. The Indonesian powerpoints are partly from Sharpening and Interpreting. Don has used these powerpoints for training in the USA, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Hong Kong, and Zambia.
Don's
life verse is Ezra 7:10:
"For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances
in Israel."
